Do we need match funding?
Where a Parish Council is the applicant, it will have to match, pound for pound, the amount contributed by the Community Fund. For other applicants there is no set amount of match funding required. However, you will be expected to show that you have made reasonable attempts to find other funding or be willing to commit your own funds to the project. (Assistance in finding additional funding will be available).

- Local community or voluntary groups which have a constitution and a bank account;
- Registered charities

Applications cannot be made for or on behalf of:
- Individuals
- Organisations which solely promote religious or political views.
What sorts of projects can be funded?
To be successful, applications must be for projects which:
- Address one or more issues identified as a priority by each CEF's Partnership Board; and
- can demonstrate community support (e.g. by giving evidence of discussions and consultations with local stakeholders/residents);
- We will not fund projects which aim to provide services that are the responsibility of a statutory agency (e.g. projects aimed at delivering the national curriculum).
