Actions Taken - Southern Area CEF
The Southern Area Community Engagement Forum has supported a North Yorkshire Police campaign to crackdown on rural crime, following concerns raised by local residents. Funding from the Forum has been used to supply new ‘zero tolerance to poaching’ signs for the area, to help the ongoing Police campaign to tackle this problem.
Meanwhile the Forum has also focused on road safety. Speed tracking devices have been used in Whitley following concerns from residents there and the Police have carried out enforcement in the area. Similar monitoring is due to take place elsewhere in the Southern Area.
